LAWN TENNIS.

The tennis covered courts championship tournament has opened in London. In the Singles second round F. M. B. Fisher (New Zealand) had a walk-over. In the third round Fisher beat Masterman 2—6, 6 —3, 6—2. The Australians Doust, Heath, Wood, and Jones brilliantly won their various contests up to the third rounds in the Singles ' and Doubles, including games against some of the leading American, South African, and English players. In the Doubles contest, Fisher and Lowe beat Simpson and Lyon.
