The presence in Paris of the First Lord of the Admiralty (Mr Walter Long) and the First Sea Lord (Admiral Wemyss) enabled Mr Massey to have a consultation • with them regarding several matters of importance to New Zealand. The first result is the promise that a suitable vessel is to be presented to the dominion for the purpose of a training ship. The Prime Minister has also seen the Secretary of Stat© for the Colonies (Lord Milner) and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr Balfour) about N the disposal of Nauru and a better arrangement respecting the New Hebrides.
