DUNEDIN" CENTRE v. OTAGO CENTRAL CENTRE..
Eight rinks from the Dunedin Centre proceeded to Alexandra on Thursday to try conclusions .'with the representatives of the Otago Central Centre. As this was the first official visit paid by the local bowlera to that centre, it aroused much enthusiasm, particularly on the part of the goldfields clubs. Both sides were strongly represented, tho Dunedin rinks including several members of the Dominion Council, Dunedin Centre Executive, and many prominent players, whilst Otago Central was represented by rinks from Cromwell, Clyde, Alexandra, and Roxburgh. Two games were played, and on each occasion -tho visitors were victorious. Though defeated, the country players were by no means disgraced. They possess many capable exponents of the game, and as bowling is in great favour in their district future representative rinks from this centre will - require to be at full strength. The visitors, who were most hospitably received, speak in glowing terms of the kindness extended to them, and in particular by the ladies and Mr W. A. Bodkin, chairman of the Central Centre Executive. The scores were: First Game. D. O.C. J. J. Marlow, F. J. Campbell, M. Barnett, W. Carswoll .. .... 20 W. Rankin, G. Stumbles, Richards, Jolly ' J. H.
