POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under: TO-DAY (WEDNESDAY).. JANUARY 29. For Fiji (per s.s. Fiona, from Auckland), at midnight. Late-fees at the Railway Station until 7.55 a.m. on January 30. For Ceylon, India, Expeditionary Forces in Egypt (per steamer from Wellington), at midnight. Late-fees at Railway Station on January 30 at 7.55 a.m. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4. For Australian _ States, South Africa, Egypt, India, China, Japan, and Straits Settlements (per s.s. Riverina, from Wellington), at midnight. Late-fees at Railway Station on February 5 at 7.55 a.m. The 10 p.m. clearance of posting boxea has been resumed. All mails which formerly closed at 8 p.m. now close at midnight at the Chief Post Office. The city collection from posting boxes will be maintained. No late-fee letters at the Chief Pest Office for mails closing at midnight, but letters may be posted at the Railway Station. Theodoee King, Chief Postmaster, Dunedin.
