THE WOOL QUESTION.
(By Cable.) The United States War Trade Board has ordered the removal of restrictions on the importation of wool from nonenemy countries. This -will be effective on the 10th January, after which date licenses will be necessary, but will be granted freely. At the Government -wool sales at Boston fine carbonised Australian wool sold a'b from 144 to 145 cents per lb. The Central Wool Committee's report shows that the Commonwealth wool production for the season 1917-18 was valued at £40,624,000. r
