SHIPPING DISASTERS.
(By Cable). A fierce hurricane swept the Spanish waters, causing many wrecks, including that of a British destroyer, which was disabled off Cape. Prior, near Ferrol. It is reported that she is the Parramatta. Government and private steamers have been sent to her rescue. Six Australian destroyers from Malta separated in a storm on the Spanish coast, but all are now safe in port. The steamer Castalia sent a wireless message tb Halifax that she Avas sinking south of Canso. Steamers are rushing to her assistance. The steamer Nortlrumbria has been mined, and most of the crew were lost._ ' The steamer Kestrel, carrying supplies to Fanning Island and other-cable stations, is missing since she left Fanning Island on the 19th of December. She had six passengers and 36 of a crew aboard.
