He lost 2200 sheep, 17 head of cattle, . three horses, and his sheds, shearing machines, 5000 feet of timber for building a woolshed, and about £ISOO worth of milling bush. He is now paying men 25s per day and -found for seed-sowing His losses will bo from £4OOO to £SOOO. When he applied for relief, it is said, he was told that he was quite able to pay for what he required.
