TREATMENT OF SEAMEN.
WELLINGTON, May it. A. deputation representing the .Seanien'a Union waited on the Minister of Justice at Wellington to-day, and made a general charge of unjust treatment of seamen under the War Regulations. Particular reference was mado to a sentence of six months' imprisonment, passed on a seaman named William Dunn for leaving his duty at the gangway of an overseas vessel. The Minister declined to interfere.
