POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close -at the Chief Post Office, Duneihn. as under: — V TO-DAY (WEDNESDAY), APRIL 3. For South Africa, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, and Australian States at 6.50 a.m. Parcels mails close for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and ExpeditionaryForces at 4 p.m. W, From Monday, March 25, to Saturday April 6, mails will Be despatched daily by the relief express train, leaving Dunedin for Christchurch at 11.15 a.m. The mails will close at the post office at 10.30 a.m. Latefee letters at 10.40 a.m. No late-fee letters can be posted at the railway station for the relief express. The relief express connects with the ferry steamer at Lyttelton on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. From Thursday, March 28, to April 4 mails will close dailv for Hokitika. Greymouth, West-port, and Rccfton at 6.30 a.m. Late-fee letters 'at the post office at 7.40 a.m.; at the railway station till 8 a.r.i. Letters usually superscribed "via Snez" should now bo superscribed " for first direct steamer." Correspondence for all neutral countries is subject to censorship. Theodore King, Chief Postmaster.
