Nominations for the South Canterbury meeting are duo to-day. .Nominations for the Aehburton meeting close on Friday, 19th inst. Nominations for the Dunedin winter meeting- are due on Friday, May 6. . Some great racing took place at Addington on Saturday, despite, the bad trade conditions. Two steeplechases and one hurdlo race will figure on each day's card' at the- Dunedin winter meeting. Biplane now carries a strong and muscular appearance, and, all going well, should be near the top of hi 3 form if ho runs in the Gold Oup at Manawatu. The stakes and totalisator .investments connected with the Champion Stakes are locked up, pending an appeal against the winner.
