BOWLING.
At a meeting of the Dunedin Centre on Saturday it was decided to accept the invitation from the WaWvonaiti and Seaoliff bowlers to visit Waikouaiti with five rinks on Saturday. March 23. It was decided to make the draw for the Centre's Easter tournament on Monday, March 25. It was pointed out that there was an error in the printed programme. The trophies for the City rinks are to be of the value of £6, not £4 as stated. A Cromwell rink has wrested possession of the Jolly Cup from the Alexandra Club after a olose and exciting game. The rinks were comprised of the following:—Cromwell—Richards, Yeoman, Dr Shore, E. Jolly («); Alexandra—Herron, M'Donald, M'Lea.n, G. Rivers (s). The scores were even when the last head was entered upon, and the Cromwell team, succeeded in notching a point. At a meeting of the Oamaru Easter Bowling Tournament Committee the secretary reported that 35 rinks and 70 pairs had been entered to date. With a view to bringing the entry to 48 rinks arid 96 pairs, it was decided to circularise bowling clubs as to train arrangements and accommodation available. It was decided that, the net proceeds should go to the Red Triangle Appeal Fund. ' Three rinks from the Phoenix Club, Oaanaru, motored to Palmerafcn last week, and were welcomed by Mr R. Cameron, president of the Ralmerston Club. The weather was beautiful, tnei green In splendid order, and an enjoyable came ended in favour of the visitors by 10 points, thanks to the score of 30 points put up by
W. Waddel's rink against M. Galloway's 11. The other two visiting- rinks were in a minority—N. Ross's rink scoring 22 to 15 by Riach's rink, and E. Lefevre's rink scoring 19 to 17 by Aikenhead's rink.
