Another whale has been -washed ashore, this time on South Spit beach, near Hokitika. On Friday afternoon, when the steamer Defender was in tho roadstead, the whale was disporting itself all round the steamer. Next morning tho whale washed ashore on tho beach on tho south sido of the river. It is about 54ft long, and was alive when it cam© ashore. Wolfe's Schnapps forms an invigorating tonic as well as a delightful refreshment.
