Oats: Inactive and unchanged. Peas and beans: Firm. Sugar : Unchanged. Silver, per oz. Tin: Spot, £245 17s 6d; throe months, £242 17s 6d. Other metals unchanged. September 29. Babbits are scarce and unchanged. Frozen meats are unchanged. Rubber: Para, 3s 3d; plantation, 2s 7|d; smoked, 2s 6gd. The decline in the mice of silver ia attributed to the cessation of the Chinese demand, and the few remaining American holders are realising their stocks. On September 25 the price was 4s 7d per ounce fine, and on Friday, September 28, it was quoted at 4s 3id per ounce.

The Food Controller' is releasing to importers one-half of their butter ex Osterley, which was commandeered in April, at 206 s for salted and 209 s for unsalted. The quantity released is about 25,000 boxes. Already practically all of it is absorbed.
