The Auckland Star says that in advancing a reason for being given extension of time a reservist appellant on Thursday said that his successor wanted to learn the names of the cows, of which there were 110. The board inquired whether the new chum could acquire the nomenclature by October 18, but appellant did not think so. He said he was good to his cows, and gave them each periodically six weeks' spell.
