THE FLYING SCHOOL AT CHRISTCHURCH: CANDIDATES AT THE FIRST AVIATON TRIALS HELD IN NEW ZEALAND. Six of Mr C. M. Hill's flying pupils offered themselves for certificates of ability, the examiner being Major It. L. Sleeman, 1.G.5., Director of Military Training, who saw considerable service early in the war. Five pupifs passed in the record time of three hours and a-half, while . the sixth pupil's test was interfered with by a southerly storm, and had to be postponed.
