A fine of £lO was imposed on Peter Carrie, charged under the vlilitary Service Act with changing his name. The police stated that the accused assumed the name of Sydney Cress in April, 1915. to avoid the execution of a police warrant issued at Greymouth, and registered under the assumed name.
