HARRIERS.
The Pacifio Harriers ran from the Wakari School, when 21 members took part in a wet, though enjoyable, run. The trail led beyond the Halfway Bush substation, striking to the right after a mile or so, then through some scrub country, ultimately coming out on the Balm-ace wen golf links, whence the pack, under Captain Gray, enjoyed a fast run home. The Anglican Harriers ran from the residence of Mr T. W. Rcid, Mornhigton. The trail led through Mornington, past the Roslyn Mills, thence over Mount Grand to some distance behind the Southern Reservoir. The reservoir was skirted, and the pack entered Mornington via Lookout Point. The club was afterwards entertained by Mr and Mrs Reid. ' The Dunedin Harriers ran from St. Clair Baths. The pack went over the hills towards Green Island, and thence round the golf links, from which a good run home was made.
St. Joseph's Harriers held their annual Two-mile Race at Anderson Bay. The competition was keen, and a large field faced the starter. The race resulted:—L. M'Allen, scratch, 1; J. Burk, 25sec, 2; R. M'Caughan, 30sec, 3. The winner's actual time (llmin) was very creditable, considering tho heavy state of the track. The St. Kilda Harriers ran from Wesley Hall. A brisk run was made along the Portobello road towards Wavcrley, and a Journey was then made over tho top of tho Peninsula down into Tomahawk. After the hills around the lagoons had been skirted, a fast return homo was made across Lawyer's Head. The club was afterwards entertained by the Young Women's Bible class. The C>vil Service and Caver sham Harriers held a combined run from tho D.A.B.C Anderson Bay. Paper was dispensed with, and tho pack was led along the lower road to Waverlcy. thence across country to the high road post Shiel Hill, and home via the Anderson Bay car terminus.
