RAILWAY NOTIFICATIONS. ZEALAND RAILWAYS NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS, 1917. The following ALTERATIONS IN and ADDITIONS TO the Ordinary Tram Service will bo made in connection with trie above: — EXTRA EXPRESS TRAINS. On 25th, 26th, 27th, and 30th DECEMBER, and 2nd and 3rd JANUARY Extra Express Trains (with dining cars) between Christchurch and Dunedin will run as under:— _ Christchurch depart 9.10 a.m., Oamaru 2.15 p.m., Dunedin arrive 6.0 p.m. Dunedin depart 10.45 a.m., Oamaru 2.2 b, Christchurch arrive 7.10 p.m., Lyttelton r. 38 p.m. DUNEDIN BALCLUTHA. On 26th, 29th, and 3Cth DECEMBER, and Ist and 2nd JANUARY, Extra Express Trains, connecting with Trains to and from Lawrence and Catlins River Branches, will run as under: Dunedin depart 9.0 a.m., Milton 10.35, Balclutha arrive 11.12 a.m. Balclutha depart 4.10 p.m., Milton 4.50, Dunedin arrive 6.12 p.m. DUNEDIN-GORE-RCARGILL, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, 2nd and 3rd JANUARY. The Down Mail Train leaving Dunedin at 8.30 a.m. WILL RUN TO GORE ONLY. Will take passengers for Waiwera, Clinton, Waipahi, Tapanui Branch. Pukerau, Gore, and Stations on the Gore-Kingston line and Waikaka Branch ONLY'. Express Train for Invercargill will leave Dunedin at 8.45 a.m. Will take passengers for Mataura and Stations south thereof ONLY. Express Train for Dunedin (connecting with Kingston-Gore Train) will leave Gore 2.55 p.m., Waipahi 3.28 (connecting with Train from Tapanui Branch). Clinton 3.55, Balclutha 4.35, Milton 5.11, Dunedin arrive 6.35 p.m. FRIDAY. 29th DECEMBER. DUNEDIN-CLINTON.—Holiday Excursion Tickets from Dunedin and Stations south thereof to Balclutha and Intermediate Stations (including Stations on Lawrence and Catlins River Branches) will NOT bo available by Down Mail Train leaving Dunedin at 8.30 a.m. Holiday Excursion Tickets from Balclutha and Stations north thereof (including Stations on Catlins River and Lawrence Branches) to Dunedin and Intermediate Stations will NOT be available by Up Mail Train arriving Dunedin at 6.38 p.m. LAWRENCE BRANCH. The Train usually leaving Milton for Beaumont at 10.0 a.m. will NOT leave until 10.45 a.m. The Train usually leaving Beaumont at 1.55 p.m. will NOT leave until 2.0 p.m., Lawrence 3.0, arriving Milton 4.48 p.m. CATLINS RIVER BRANCH.-The Train usually leaving Balclutha for Owaka at 10.40 a.m. will NOT leave until 11.25 a.m., connecting with 9.0 a.m. Express from Dunedin. SATURDAY, 30th DECEMBER. DUNEDIN-PALMERSTON The Goods Train (with car attached) usually leaving Dunedin for Palmerston at 4.35 a.m. will NOT leave until 5.10 a.m. _ DUNEDIN - OAMARU—Holiday Excursion Tickets from Dunedin and Stations north thereof to Oamaru and Intermediate Stations will NOT be available by Up Mail Train leaving Dunedin at 8.0 a.m. This Train will NOT take passengers for Waitati. WAIHEMO BRANCH—Train will leave Palmerston for Dunback at 10.25 a.m., returning leaving Dunback at 11.45 a.m. _ DUNEDIN-CLINTON—Holiday Excursion Tickets from Dunedin and Stations south thereof to Balclutha and Intermediate Stations (including Stations on Lawrence and Catlins River Branches) will NOT be available by Down Mail Train leaving Dunedin at 8.30 a.m. The Express Train leaving Dunedin at 4.15 p.m. will NOT take passengers holding Holiday Excursion Tickets for Milton, Balclutha, and Stations on Lawrence and Catlins River Branches. Holiday Excursion Tickets from Balclutha and Stations north thereof (and from Stations on Catlins River and Lawrence Branches) to Dunedin and Intermediate Stations will NOT be available by Up Mail Train arriving Dunedin at 6.38 p.m. DUNEDIN - BALCLUTHA. Train for Balclutha will leave Dunedin at 6.25 p.m., arriving Balclutha 8.49 p.m. Connects with Trains for Lawrence and Catlins River Branches. Will NOT stop between Dunedin and Mosgiel inclusive. LAWRENCE BRANCH.—The Train usuaily leaving Milton for Beaumont at 10.0 a..rn will NOT leave till 10.45 a.m. The Train_ usually leaving Beaumont at 1.65 p.m. will NOT leave until 2.0 p.m., Lawrence 5.0, arriving Milton 4.48 p.m.. The Train usually leaving Milton for Lawrence at 7.0 p.m. will NOT leave until 8.10 p.m. (connecting with 6.25 p.m. Train horn Dunedin). CATLINS RIVER BRANCH. —The Train usuallv leaving Balclutha for Taha\ropa at 10.40 a.m. will NOT leave until 11.25 a.m. (connecting with 9.0 a.m. Express from Dunedin), arriving Owaka 12.45 p.m. and Tuhnkopa 2.50 p.m. The aftcr-ioon Train for Balclutha will ttart from Tahakopa at 12.15 p.m. (instead of Maclennan). The Train usually leaving Balclutha for Owaka at 8 5 p.m. will NOT leave till 9.0 p.m. (connecting with 6.25 p.m. Train *from Dunedin). Will run through to Maclennan, arriving Maclennan 11.50 p.m. A Train will leave Maclennan for Balclutha at 8.30 p.m.. arriving Balclutha 11.50 p.m., connecting with Night Trains to Dunedin and Invercargill. SPECIAL NIGHT TRAINS. D UNEDIN-OAMARU Dunedin depart 11.0 p.m.. Oamaru arrive 4.12 a.m. Sunday. DUNEDIN-CHRISTCHURGTL—Dunedin depart 10.45 p.m., Christchurch arrive 8.15 a.m. Sunday.
