It was alleged in the House recently by Mr A. H. Hindmarsh that the sum of about £BO had been spent on extra plurnbiiig work in fitting up quarters for Lady Ckxlley on the transport Maunaranui two years a<ro (says the Donrnion). The Minister of Defenoe stated the other day that the cost of the work was £42, but that it was necessary, and, further, that the quarters had since been used regularly by nurses.
