The Bright Eyes of Beauty.
More than any other feature have eyes to do with the- beauty of the face in which they are set. An irregular nose may be a. positive attraction; a too large month merely serves to show character and good nature, but a pair of dull and fish-like eyes will kill every other charm, and, at the same time, betray that their owner is a very foolish little lassie. Because every girl should own a pair of bright eyes; if, in normal circumstances they are not bright, she is to blame. Colour, size, and, to a certain extent, expression, are all beyond control, but all young eyes that receive a little commonsense care and obtain a due amount of rest will sparkle! Less than eight hours' sleep in a wellventilated room will dim the eyes. So will reading in a, dim light or straining the sight over fine needlework. Reading and working whilst travelling are bad. The eyes require rest. Shut them for a moment or two at intervals during the day if you wish them to retain or regain their full beauty, and at least once a day bathe them with tepid boracic lotion.
