MOTOR THEFT AT SYDNEY

' SYDNEY, June 13. A sensational affair occurred at Long Bay. A constable discovered in the bush a motor car -\vhich had been stolen yesterday evening. With two more constable 1 :!, he watched, and presently two men arrived in another stolen car. The police ordered them to stop, but they started off at full speed. Constable Watson fired two shots with his revolver, and the car promptly stopped. Both its inmates were wounded, and one (James Holmes) died on the way to the hospital. The other (Eric Russell) is seriously wounded.
