DEATHS. HORNE.—On May 27, died of enteric fever at Zig Zag Hospital, Egypt, Trooper J. H. Horne, youngest son of William and Jane Horne, Eltham. Parting is hard wo must admit, The wrench requires some nerve, But you and I are both agreed The right thing is to serve. Don’t fear for mo: remember this, If over you fool blue, No shot can strike mo in the heart, For that I’ve loft with you. M'MILLAN. —On Juno 15, at his mother’s residence, 24 Lawrence street, Mornington (as the result of wounds received while in action), John, beloved son of Margaret and the late William M'Millan, of Waitahuna West; aged 24 years. He did his duty. WILSON.—On May 28, killed in action, Private Thomas Wilson, oldest and dearly beloved son of David and Mary Jane Wilson, Flag Swamp; aged 36 years. Greater love hath no man than this: that he lay down his life for his friends.
