WELLINGTON LICENSING COMMITTEE.
WELLINGTON, June 19. Tho C'iiy Licensing Committee, at its adjourned mooting, decided to adjourn tho application for the renewal in the case of the New Zealander Hotel (Mrs E. M. Davcy) for three month;-. If the police report is then unfavourable the application will bo refused. Regarding the Imperial Hotel, a renewal to the present licensee (T. 8. Macguire) would be refused, and the application wis adjourned till next quarter sessions, on the condition that the present holder transfers his license within 21 days. In the case of the Thistle Hotel (William Hannaifin). the application for renewal was adjourned for three months. The application for renewal for the Central Hotel (S. J. Wiiif; ford) was adjourned for 10 davs to enable repairs to be carried out.
