AUSTRIAN ATTACK BROKEN ROME, May 30. A communique states: The enemy in Lazarin Valley renewed their obstinate ana bloody attack, and were again broken. The Italians on the Asiago Plateau occupied and consoli. dated a position dominating the Asiagc basin. AUSTRIAN OFFICIAL REPORT. VIENNA, May 30. A communique states: In the Asiago sector we gained a footing on the southern and eastern slopes of the Assa Valley. We occupied several heights north of Asiago, and ejected Italians from positions west and south of Bettale, in the Upper Posina Valley. COST OF AUSTRIAN OFFENSIVE. LONDON, May 29. It is estimated that the Austrian losses on the Italian front since May 14 total 100,000 men. The Daily Mail's Milan correspondent etates that snow on the Southern Tyrol has delayed the transport of Austrian big gttns. AN AUSTRIAN CLAIM. LONDON, May 31. A Vienna communique claims that Austrian forces, crossing the Posina rivulet, captured a height on the southern bank.
