The resignation of Mr Adam Nixon from the office of president of the Auckland branch of the Seamen's Union was handed to the secretary of the union on the 25th nit. This action waa the result of the resolution by a meeting of the union on on the ?,2ncl ult., by which the members expressed their displeasure of Mr Nixon's attitude in connection with the recent proceedings before the Conciliation Commissioner, and called upon him to resign.
