DEATH OF A SOLDIER.
GREYTOWN, June 1. Gunner J. C Thomson, of the 13th Reinforcements, only son of Mr J. C. Thomson, member for Wallace, died at Greytown Hospital to-day. He was 22 years of age, and was a pupil of tho Southland Boy's High School for four years. On leaving school he entered the Land and Survey Department. and at the time of his enlistment was surveying- in tho Western District.
