EXPORT OF PRODUCE.

Slome idea of the expenditure involved in the export of meat, cheese, etc., to the Home Government under the compulsory system may be gathered from the latest returns. Carrying meat from tho Dominion, 73 steamers have arrived at their destination and 10 are en route. Tho total payments for meat to date amount to £8,193 : 805.

The export of cheese under similar conditions commenced only on November 4-. IGIS. Since then 4830 tons have arrived at destination, 5267 tons are en route, and tho payments made total £669,747. Operations in regard to scheelite commenced on September 20, 1915. Since then 120 tons have arrived at destination, and tho sum of £23,2.22 has been paid.
