The Balmaccwen and Roslyn Clubs played a iivc-rink aside match on Saturday to decide which Club should hold the Balk Cup for the season. In tho first match Balmaccwen won by eight points, while on Slafcurday Roslyn finished up with the narrow margin of one point to the good. On the aggregate points, however, Balmaccwen has an advantage of seven points, and holds tho cup until tho end of next season.

Four rinks from the Southland Club visited Winton on Wednesday last, and after an interesting match won against tho Winton Club by 103 to 67. At tho conclusion of the game Mr A. E. Smith, after returning thanks for the hospitable manner in which the visitors had been entertained, presented the Lindsay brothers, the winner's of tho Champion Doubles at the_ Southland Contro New Year tournament, with a silver-mounted biscuit-barrel and a set of military brushes. Cheers for the ladies who had provided afternoon tea concluded the proceedings. The Orepuki Bowling Club closed the season on tho 29th nit, tho lady supporters of tho club taking- advantage of the occasion to advance tho interests of the Red Cross Society.
