DEATHS.
FOR THE EMPIRE'S CAUSE,
DAVIS.—On or about August 9, 1915, reported by Court of Inquiry to have been killed in action, Ernest Bartholomew Davis, beloved eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. Davis, of Clyde; aged 20 years. R.I.P.
GUNN.—On February 18, 1916, died in Hospital of meningitis, Gordon, eldest son of Alice Mary and tho late Donald Gunn, late of Chatto Creek and Waikouaiti; in his 23rd year. A member of tho Australian Forces. He did his duty. JOHNSTONE. On or about August 7, 1915, reported by Court of Inquiry to have died from wounds, Roy Johnstone (late of Blaekstone Hill and Pomahaka), tho beloved husband of Kate B. Johnstone.
WHITE. —On April 10, at his parents’ residence, 41 Macau drew road, Edward French, the beloved infant son of James and Elizabeth White: aged 7 months. Deeply regretted.
