FOUND DROWNED.
Although diligent search was made for the missing woman Isabella Hitchcock, who disappeared from her brother's house at 19 Dundas street at 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, it was not until close on 3 p.m. on Sunday that the police succeeded in locating the body in the upper basin of the City Reservoir. There was a suspicion that the unfortunate woman had entered the reservoir some time on Wednesday night, but no trace of the body was found until Sunday afternoon. The upper and tho lower basin were previously dragged in turn, but without success. The former was dragged again on Sunday, and this time tho police recovered the body and had it conveyed to the Morgue. The facts concerning tho woman's disappearance are that she left her home on Wednesday morning, with the object of "■oing to her sister's homo in the eamo street for lunch, but, as she did not reach tho place, inquiries were at once instituted, with the hope of ascertaining her whereabouts, the reason being that she was recently discharged from a mental hospital. She was seen in tho vicinity of tho reservoir at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, but went away again, and was subsequently noticed in that locality towards dusk.
