DOMINION CONFERENCE. AUCKLAND, February 10. The Dominion Foresters' Conference passed i resolution strongly protesting against the State-subsidised National Provident Fund as at present constituted and administered, whereby friendly societies are taxed to keep up a department which is drawing its members from the same source *& the societies
look to to supply members to carry on their wor'-, and asking the Govei lment and Parliament either to withdraw all subsidy to the National Provident Fund or to give the same measure of assistance to the friendly societies.
