The death is reported of Mr J. C. Campbell (of the firm of Campbell and Sons), an ex-member of the Legislative Council. Mr Campbell was formerly engaged in business in New Zealand, and was one of the survivors of the old yeomanry corps raised during the Maori war. MRS ELIZABETH HALL. SYDNEY, February 14. The death is reported of Mrs Hall, widow of Mr Walter Russell Hall, the Mount Morgan millionaire, whose name is associated with great charities, including the Walter and Eliza Hall Trust, by which the income from £1,000,000 is devoted to benevolent, religious, and educational purposes.
