With the opening of the new permanent eomn at Featherston shortly after the middle of next month, it Las been decided to rearrange the grouping of the various units in training. The artillery, engineers, and infantrv of each reinforcement draft, commencing with the 12th, will bo mobilised at Trentham The artillery and engineers will remain at Trentbarn during their whole course of training, while the infantry, at the end "of their sixth week, after completing their recruits’ course of musketry, will be transferred to Featherston returning to Trentham at the end of their fourteenth week to fire their trained soldiers’ course and complete their outfit, etc. Trentham will thus, become purely a camp for artillery, engineers, and infantry. The mounted rifles army service corps, and veterinary corps’ for each draft will bo mobilised at Featherston, and will he stationed there permanently, not transferring to Trentham. Xho reserves will also be stationed pen nancntly at Featherston. Tho_ medical corps will mobilise at A wap uni (Palmerston North) where the permanent medical corps camp will he run m two model camps at Trentham and Featherston. Men for reinforcement drafts will be provided with really comfortable quarters, but it has boon decided in order to harden and accustom to era to camp life, to give every man a full four weeks under canvas.
