A suggestion to employ a natural gas which exists in the neighbourhood of Inglewood for fuel was mad© by a shareholder at the meeting of the Maketawa Dairy Company. Ho pointed out that in view of the scarcity of wood for the factory, and tho likelihood of having to use coal, steps should bo taken to inquire as to tho prospects of employing the gas, which was now going to waste. There was gas all over the district, and probably a supply could be tapped on tho company’s property. It was possible that gas could bo secured at less cost than wood. It was (tedded to inquire into tho matter.
