A BROKEN THIGH.
MAN CRAWLS 300 YARDS. WELLINGTON, July 15. Sergeant Wild, of Hokitika (South Canterbury Infantry) was eight days in the firing lino when a bullet struck him in tho thigh. He stood up, and immediately his thigh was broken. At the time ho was about 500 yards out in front of the trenches, and had to crawl back. “The only fear is while you aro waiting,” said tho Sergeant. ‘‘Once you begin firing away you are as cool as a cucumber.”
