When it is realised that on the fertile flats of Inchclutha turnips have gone as high as 70 tons to the acre, and that the ruling price o;t .trucks-this season is from 25s to 27s 6d a ton (in exceptional cases 30s has been offered) it will bo seen that there are lees profitable crops than turnips, and that it pays far bettor to sell by the ton than by the aero.
