LONDON, June 0. New South Wales is having underwritten a five million per cent, loan Holders of debentures can havd these made convertible into inscribed stock till August 23. The stock is repayable in July, 1927, but the Government) has the option of repaying it in .1.922. A half-year’s interest is payable on January 1, and the final instalment of 40 per cent, is payable on August 16. The money is required for the redemption of Treasury bills. June 9. The Times says that the New South Wales loan issue is attractive. Its recep--tion has been more cordial, and the under*, writers have been given a longer oppor* tunity for disposing of recent issues, excluding Argentine. However, the sanctioning of the enormous amount of new capital raised in 1915 is scarcely compatible with the necessity for husbanding the resource! of the country.
