RUMANIA PREPARING
LONDON, June 3,
It is reported that Rumania has ordered half a million pairs of boots from foreign countries.
AMSTERDAM, June 3.
The Berliner Tageblatt says that Italy and Rumania have not reached an understanding. The Allies promised Rumania that she should have Siegenbnrg and the southern part of the Bukowina in return for her active military support, but Rumania wants Czernowitz and the Hungarian province of Banetch, which Russia and Serbia respectively want. ROME, June 3.
II Secolo states that King Victor Emmanuel of Italy has offered to mediate between Russia and Rumania.
AMSTERDAM, June 4,
A telegram in the Cologne Gazette states that there is no denying that a feeling of satisfaction prevails in Government circles at Sofia in connection with the Note for a quadruple entente presented to Bulgaria last Saturday.
LONDON, June 4
The Petit Parisien publishes a despatch stating that Bulgaria and Rumania havo arrived at a complete understanding. It declares that the two States will enter the war simultaneously—Rumania against Austria, and Bulgaria against Turkey. Mill-
fcary plans .are being co-ordinated with that end in view. The despatch adds that Rumania has agreed to cede Dubrudja to Bulgaria.
