In the Federal House of Representatives, ■debating a motion in favour of the commonwealth taking over the control of commodities, Mr Catts objected to the fact that butter had been sent Home and had to be brought back for local consumption, also to the sale of wheat to the New Zealand Government. Exceptional means, he said, should bo taken by the commonwealth in these exceptional circumstances to find out what stocks were available.
