DEATHS.
FOR THE EMPIRE’S CAUSE.
COUPERTHWAITE. —Died of wounds received at the Dardanelles, Peter, the youngest son of tho late Robert and Jane Couperthwaite, Kelso; aged 28 years. Deeply regretted. FRASER. —Killed in action at the Dardanelles April 27, 1915, Private Kinnear George, beloved son of Donald and Mary Fraser, Lumsden; aged 26 years. LOGAN.—Died of wounds received in action at the Dardanelles, Lieutenant Preston, The Oaves, Waipii, Auckland, eldest son of Oolohel R. Logan, Samoa. PINK. —Killed in action at the Dardanelles between April 25 and May 1, 1915, Hubert Fair, dearly beloved second eon of Mr and Mrs H. J. Pink, Dunedin; aged 25 years. Deeply mourned. SMITH.—On May 4, died of wounds received In action at the Dardanelles, Frederick, third son of Annie and the late George Smith, 26 Athol place, Dunedin; in his 20th year. Deeply regretted. SPEDDING.—On the 20th inst., killed in action at the Dardanelles, Arthur Vivian, Captain 4th Otago Infantry Battalion; younger son of D. M. Spedding, Dunedin.
