THE KANOWNA FIREMEN
MELBOURNE, May 11
Senator Pearce (Minister of Defence) has decided that certain members of the crew of the Kanowna charged with mutiny did not mutiny.
[ln September last, when in Queensland waters, certain firemen of the troopship Kanowna were charged with mutiny and placed under arrest. The men hold that this was wrongfully done, and that there was no mutiny, and demanded that an inquiry be held into the w 1 1 ole matter. The inquiry was held, with the result mentioned above.]
