THE LATE LIEUTENANT K. SINCLAIR THOMSON. Lieutenant K. Sinclair Thomson, whose death in action wasrecorded last week, was detailed on February 3 as machine gun officer to join the 10 h Indian Cavalry for service in Mesopotamia, his own regiment being the 21st Cavalry. He was selected for this work by the military authori ies as beheld a certificate as a machine gunner. No doubt the cavalry action near Basra referred to in the London cables of March 9 was the engagement in which he lost his life.
