DEATH ON SHIPBOARD.
WELLINGTON, December 4. While the steamer Mamari, which arrived to-day from London, was at Capetown, on November 8, a passenger named Mark Jarvis died. He had been ailing for (mo time. His wife and granddaughter were also passengers on the vessel. Jarvis was 70 years of age, and was farming in Hawke’s Bay prior to making a trip to England for the benefit of his health.
