The opening session of the twentyfourth Victorian Parliament has commenced. The Governor, in his Speech, stated that the sessio nwould be occupied in making provision for the services for the year. SYDNEY, December 5. In the New South Wales Legislative Assembly the Motor Tax Management Bill and the Income Tax Management Bill were introduced. The Premier tabled a- return showing that a contract for 225 locomotives, costing £1,335,707, had been placed with the Clyde Engineering Company.
