LYNCH LAWS

NEW YORK, December 3. Tobe Lewis and Monroe Dirden, two negroes, were lynched at Shreveport, Louisiana, on an allegation that they murdered Mr Taking, the postmaster near Sylvester Station. Another negro who confessed to burning the postmaster’s body was released upon his confession. The sheriff rescued a fourth negro.
