UNRULY CADET.

PAHIATUA, November 25. Two Senior Cadets were charged to-ciay with obstruction at parade by laughing, jostling, and talking. The commanding officer said that the defendants had misbehaved several times. lie was very reluctant to bring the charges. The Magistrate said it was a great pity that cases of this sort, were not dealt with by military law instead of civil proceedings. He instanced what was done in the old-Yolun-teer days with offenders. The officer replied that they had no power. The defendants made allegations against the officer, which the latter strongly denied. A line was imposed in each case.
