MANCHESTER UNITY.
Tho official visit of sister lodges to the Loyal Outrain Lodge on Monday, tho 23rcl nit., was one of the most enjoyable and best attended ever held there. Three motor wagons left town at 7 p.m., containing in all 50 members, who were reinforced by a considerable muster of over a score from the Loyal Mosgiel Lodge. The total muster, including tho members of the Loyal Outram Lodge, reached nearly 100. The routine work of tho lodge was quickly gone through, and then N.G. Bro. Watson cordially welcomed the visitors. Ho said that the Outram Lodge looked forward with kccness to the yearly visit from town members, and would do its best to give them an enjoyable time. The usual patriotic and fratncral toasts were given very heartily, that of the Outram Bodge being proposed by P.G.M. Bro. A. W. Palmer. Extra toasts were proposed to P.G. Bro. Grant (tho popular long-scrvico secretary) and to P.G. Bro. G. R. West (pianist). The meeting then took tho orthodox form. Songs being given by Bros. A. Johnson, Sligo, Bond. Flvnn, CoB. fiml Brnsror, ami Stations by Eros. Taylcr, Kernohan, and Longworth. The three members of tho Jjjslr.ct Executive present—P.G.M. Bro. A. W. Palmer. P.D.G.M. Bro. C. W. Smith, and P.G.G.M. Bro. G. Coughlan—each briefly adressed tho meeting. The spokesmen for tho visiting lodges were N.G. Bro. List (Cavcrsham), N.G. Bro. Longworth (Centenary), N.G. Bro. Anderson (Albion), N.G. Bro. Alexander (Mosgiel), N.G. Bro. Lyon (Hand and Heart), P.G. Bro. C. West (Dunedin), P.G.M. Bro. Palmer (Valley). The Loyal Albion Lodge took tho opnortunity to visit a sick at tho Terminus, and P.G. Bro. P. Thomson thanked tho local lodge for its attention to P.G. Bro. Blatch (Woodside).
