A further section of the North Auckland Trunk line, from Otamoto to Bickerstaffe, was to have been handed over to the Railway Department last month by the Public Works Department, but (says the Auckland Herald) owing to the nature of the ground througn which the line passes the work of construction has been considerably retarded, and it will probably be January before the Railway Department will take control.
