ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.

Mabmee— a tableau such as you suggest should not be very difficult to arrange. Britannia, of course, will be the central trgxire, and she should be standing on something raised two or three steps above the level o£ the stage; but do see that her foundation is secure, as any tendency to wobble would be fatal. The platform and the background should be covered with some plain material, so as to show up the figures, with some greenery at the sides if you like. A large Union Jack at the back would be effective. Britannia is generally represented in white, with a Union Jack draped round her, and she must have a helmet, shield, and a spear or trident. Aluminium paint is very useful in constructing these accessories. The boys should show what colonies they represent either by carrying pennants or wearing badges or ribands with the names on. They may be grouped sitting, standing, or lying, but the great thing is to rehearse your tableau well beforehand, so that the actors can get quickly into their places as soon as the curtain is down, .and not keep the audience waiting more than a few moments. Then, when the curtain rises, a few bars of “ Kule, Britannia” should be played, at the completion of which the curtain should descend, and then rise a second time, when the boys may be standing at the salute, instead, of in their first tions. I hope the concert will be a success.
