FRENCH MINISTRY

PARIS, June 16.

The Chamber of Deputies voted confidence in the Cabinet by 362 to 159, which is one of the largest majorities the French Chamber has ever given. The Socialists voted en bloc against the Government.

The Premier (M. Viviani) received a great ovation.

June 17.

M. Viviani (Premier) states that the three years’ term of army service must not be tampered with until a system superseding it has been introduced and tested.
